Introduction
Alzheimer-Associated Neuronal Thread Protein Assay Kit (Rare Earth-Sensitized Magnetic Particle Chemiluminescence)
Clinical significance
This kit is intended for the quantitative in vitro detection of Alzheimer-associated neuronal thread protein (AD7C-NTP) in human urine samples. It is clinically used as an aid in the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.
AD7C-NTP is a neuronal thread protein produced by neuronal cell bodies, expressed in neurons, and localized to axons of neuronal origin. Its levels are elevated in both cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and urine of patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD), and its concentration is positively correlated with the severity of cognitive impairment. This feature makes it an important biomarker for the early diagnosis of AD.
